About Me
Hi, I’m Heather and I hail from Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast. I have had the wonderful pleasure of living in different places around the world as an Air Force spouse, and while I love to travel and experience other cultures, there’s nothing like enjoying a soft breeze on my screened porch with a book in my lap and dog and cat by my side.
When my head isn’t buried in a book, my time is spent directing Arete Collaborative Academy (a classical homeschool collective), watching my sons’ high school baseball games, hiking, biking, or looking for ways to practice Spanish. I am passionate about teaching and books, and one of the best things in the world is walking alongside a student whose eyes are opened to the beauty of literature.
About this Blog
At its core, the main purpose of this blog is to document my faith journey. Faith does not exist inside a vacuum, though, and faith truly lived is not separate from our every day, every hour, every minute life. So along the way, this blog will also feature musings about culture, literature, art, travel, community and especially education.
