About
Hi, I’m Heather and I hail from Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast. I have had the wonderful pleasure of living in different places around the world as an Air Force spouse, and while I love to travel and experience other cultures, there’s nothing like enjoying a soft breeze on my screened porch with a book in my lap and dog and cat by my side. When my head isn’t buried in a book, my time is spent directing Arete Collaborative Academy (a classical homeschool collective), watching my sons’ high school baseball games, hiking, biking, or looking for ways to practice Spanish. I am passionate about teaching and books, and one of the best things in the world is walking alongside a student whose eyes are opened to the beauty of literature.
I hold a Master’s degree in Bilingual and ESL Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and am currently pursing a second Master’s in Humanities from the University of Dallas.
